| 8 | The Feast Of The Immaculate Conception - All are invited to the Archdiocese Celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, on Thursday, 8 December 2011 @ 7:30 p.m. At the same celebration the Archdiocese will recognize the 150 years of ministry of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul in our community. A social will follow at Ecole Cathédrale. |
| 10 & 11 | Blessing of Infant Christ figurines at all Masses the weekend of Dec. 10 & 11. Please bring your image of the infant Christ, used for your family’s Christmas Creche. The images will be blessed at each Mass. When you bring them home they will bless your Christmas Creche for this year. This would be especially good for your children’s and/or grand children’s participation. If your Christ figurine is precious or irreplaceable, it might be best to not bring it to Church. Please invite your friends and relatives to participate in this traditional Advent blessing on the Third Sunday in Advent. |

| 28 | Holy Innocents Candlelight Vigil will be held on Wednesday, December 28, from 7:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.in front of Kingston General Hospital. At this time, during the Christmas Season, we remember the Holy Innocents, the babies who were killed by Herod seeking the Christ Child. We will gather to pray for our “innocents”, the more than 30,000 babies killed at KGH by the sin of abortion. Please join us at 6:45 p.m. on the hill across from KGH (Stuart St.) for prayers and hymns. Please bring your own candle in a glass jar (flashlight for children). |
